The RX rotary union incorporates the latest technology in mechanical seal design for water, thermal oil, and air service. The balanced seal and carbon-to-tungsten carbide seal package makes the RX more robust and able to run longer than other ball bearing designs. The RX union is supported by two widely-spaced anti-friction bearings and features a bearing isolation system for added bearing protection. The RX union is capable of intermittent dry running and has the seal springs located outside the fluid to minimize potential for fouling. The RX is rated up to 500°F, 150 psig, and 3,000 RPM.
The SX rotary union is designed for steam and thermal oil applications. Its two internal carbon-graphite bearings permit self-alignment and long operating life – even on cylinders that are not concentric. The convex seal ring and optimized seal geometry provide extended seal life and reduced maintenance. The SX rotary union line is available in sizes 3/4" to 3" and can be used in single and dual flow applications. The union is rated up to 650°F, 300 psig, and 550 RPM.
The ELS (Extended Life Series) rotary joint is a self-supported joint that has been specifically designed to solve accelerated wear problems that occur with conventional self-supported rotary joints – particularly those in high vibration applications. The double-guide design provides internal support for the joint and maintains alignment even when the roll or cylinder is not concentric. The ELS is available in single-flow or with stationary syphon dual-flow configurations for steam service. Sizes range from 1 1/4” up to 12” and rated up to 650° F (343° C), 310 psig (20 bar) and 200 RPM.
The G rotary union is a high performance, high precision rotary union for coolant, water,hydraulic oil, and air applications. Type G unions are generally used on CNC machine spindles, gun drills, milling machines, and other cutting tools. The G union is designed for speeds up to 50,000 RPM and pressures up to 3,600 psig in sizes ranging from 1/4" (M10) to 5/8" (M16).
The Multi-Pass (MP) rotary union is custom-designed for pneumatic, hydraulic, and water applications. The union is supported on precision ball bearings that are lubricated for life. The housing materials include stainless steel, aluminum, steel, and brass. Standard pressure sizes are 1/8" through 1" with other sizes available. MP unions are available with up to 12 passages and rated up to 225°F, 3,000 psig, and 500 RPM.
The Over-the-Shaft (OTS) rotary union is applied to various types of rolls that require fluids to be supplied through the driven roll journal. The OTS is made from stainless steel and bronze components and features a mechanical seal design for high-speed applications. A Quad-seal design is also available for lower speed applications. The OTS rotary union is rated up to 200°F and 150 psig.
